Playwright Russell Raintree was born in Leeds, Yorkshire. After over twenty years spent writing and producing Russell recently staged his latest and deemed to be his most powerful play
'The Puppet Man', an inspiring, diverse and chilling, psychological thriller. This sees a cast of only three play out intimate, psychological and dynamic dialogue that not only challenges the viewer in a montage of mind-games and deception but entwines them in the relationships on stage.
Russell began writing in 1986 and has written several stage plays, including 'At Fort Felix', Writings On The Wall', ' The Final Accolade', two screenplays,
'No Saving Grace' and his recently completed screenplay for a film entitled
'The Candle Still Burns'.
His first play 'Stranger On A First Night' had it's Premiere at The Leeds Civic Theatre in July 1986, followed in Feb 1989 by his second play 'At Fort Felix' again at The Leeds Civic Theatre, where it played to packed houses, and later was performed at Dewsbury Arts Centre.
Following this Premiere of 'The Puppet Man' at The Carriageworks Leeds in November 2008, Russell is planning to take it on Tour locally then has his sights firmly set on on The West End!
He then intends to concentrate on bringing more of his own work to the stage and indeed screen and has many more interesting projects lined up for the near future, including an exciting New Musical..So watch out Andrew Lloyd-Webber!

Charlotte GrayCh(((DIRECTOR)
Charlotte, as well as being a talented director, is an accomplished actress, singer, writer and producer. She is also a director of York Rising Stars Theatre Company. In addition to performing within this group, Charlotte regularly writes scripts to be performed by her group and others throughout Yorkshire. She recently produced an educational piece of theatre entitled 'Broken Doll', written by Dennis Westgate, which she has toured in York. Charlotte is a Theatre Practitioner and believes in making theatre accessible to everyone. She strongly feels that theatre can have a positive impact on people's lives and this is reflected through her work. Charlotte also works and performs with other theatre companies and is currently involved with the Northern Musical Theatre Company where she recently played the leading roles of Miss Sherman in 'Fame The Musical' and Ruth in 'The Pirates of Penzance' at York Theatre Royal. Russell hand picked Charlotte to direct the Premiere of his new play 'The Puppet Man' after hearing about her and seeing some of her splendid productions in and around Yorkshire.. Mason Tyree ((EFIAN)as
Mason was born in 1969. He attended the prestigious Sheffield Youth Theatre before moving on to professional roles such as Ratty in 'Wind In The Willows' and Donald Duck in 'Blue Remembered Hills'. He is a talented writer and director, with several credits to his name and set up The Sheffield Theatre Company which produces new work by Sheffield writers for Sheffield actors. Mason has voiced numerous Radio plays and done many voice overs, regularly working with Sheffield Live Radio station. He not only performs in many Corporate projects and is a regular in T.I.E. but also enjoys performing Murder Mystery Productions, which allows a lot of scope for his improvisation skills. Lee is a busy and much sought after actor and has been seen in roles of Herbert in 'Life x 3', Curly in 'Of Mice and Men', Mark Antony in 'Julius Caesar' and as Mark in the very popular 'Dangerous Obsession' and Morris Townsend in 'The Heiress' by Ruth & Augustus Goetz. It was indeed his excellent performance as Morris Townsend that clinched his role as Danny in 'The Puppet Man' - Russell Raintree happened to be in the audience! Lee trained in drama at the Coventry Centre and is looking to make a career in the business. He loves a challenge and says he is always searching for interesting and varied roles and relished the opportunity of playing the escaped murderer Danny in 'The Puppet Man'. Lee has been involved with The Ilkley Players for many years. His aim in the near future is to go to the next 'level' and direct.yearsand has beenee

Jessica Louise Warren (ERIKA)
Jessica attended Bretton Hall and always found ways to get involved with theatre throughout her very eventful three year course - from starting her own theatre company, 'Billy Shaker's Flying Circus' to directing Jim Cartwright's 'Two' when she was only just 18. Now 22, Jessica has a number of varied performances under her belt including Madame de Tourvel in 'Les Liasons Dangereuses' and Mother Courage in Brecht's materpiece. Her greatest achievement was her Victorian circus version of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' (which she co-directed with Clara Whitlock) - 'Watching the fairies custard pie Bottom was a very special moment', she laughs. Jessica aspires to play Lady McBeth and also Doctor Who's assistant, opposite David Tennant,
